The Board of Directors of the Puget Sound Clean Air Agency will conduct a public hearing on December 19, 2019 to consider a draft Clean Standard rule (Regulation IV). The hearing will be from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. and from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Washington State Convention Center (address below).
A Clean Fuel Standard reduces greenhouse gas pollution from transportation through a system of deficit and credit trading that requires transportation fuels to become cleaner over time.
The draft rule (new Regulation IV) proposes a standard that reduces the carbon intensity of the region's transportation fuels by 25 percent by 2030. For a brief summary of what's in the draft rule click here.
