Clean Diesel National Grants The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency will award $40 million in Diesel Emissions Reductions Act (DERA) funding this year. EPA's Region 10 (Alaska, Idaho, Oregon, Washington) will accept proposals requesting up to $900,000 in grant funds.
The DERA Clean Diesel Funding Assistance Program is intended to fund projects that significantly reduce diesel emissions and exposure, especially in areas with poor air quality.
Advanced Transportation Technologies Grants The U.S. Department of Transportation's Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) is making $60 million available in grants to states, cities and other public agencies for new technologies that improve transportation efficiency and safety.
The FHWA is particularly interested in projects that bring data together from different systems, such as real-time traveler information, traffic data collection, integrated corridor management, and other intelligent transportation system technologies.
